What it is. Kopexil (INCI: Diaminopyrimidine Oxide) is a cosmetic active used in scalp-care products for thinning hair.

R&DETAIL uses 1.5% in a water-based formula, combined with Panthenol, Zinc PCA and Zinc Gluconate to care for the scalp. The formula is alcohol-, silicone- and fragrance-free.

How it is meant to help. Hair grows from the scalp, so scalp condition matters. The lotion activates the scalp and supports the conditions for healthy hair growth, so thinning or fine hair can look and feel fuller over time.

Hair only grows slowly – about 1 cm a month, so visible changes take time. Plan for several months of regular daily use.

One bottle lasts about 3 months, and our before and after photos show results after 4–6 months.

Twist the nozzle open and apply the lotion directly from the bottle onto the scalp.

The formula is lightly thickened with a guar-based ingredient, so it stays where applied instead of running. Distribute over the desired areas and massage gently with your fingertips.

Use on a dry or freshly washed scalp. Do not rinse.

Only a light wetting of the scalp is needed – approximately 1 ml per day.

Depending on the amount used, one bottle is designed to last for around 3 months.

Yes, it is water-based and alcohol free. Many classic scalp-activation formulas use an alcohol base, which can dry out the scalp or cause burning on sensitive skin.

R&DETAIL is made for regular daily leave-on use, so no burning or noticeable tingling is expected.

The formula is water-based and has no hold or styling effect. It will not weigh the hair down or make it look greasy. Apply it to the scalp, leave it in and style your hair as usual. This makes it especially suitable for longer hair or hair that is not washed daily. For light root hold and volume, choose Scalp Activating Lotion Hold.
